The Union of European football associations (UEFA) has decided to postpone the 2020 European championship to the summer of 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic, the press service of the Norwegian football Union reports, citing UEFA."The European championship has been postponed until the summer of 2021. This was announced by UEFA on Tuesday at a meeting with member States. The new dates of the tournament are from June 11 to July 11, " the message reads.
UEFA is holding talks with representatives of the Union's 55 federations on Tuesday.
Matches of the European championship of the year should be held in 12 cities, including St. Petersburg, where three group stage matches and a meeting in the 1/4 final are planned.
